El Nido or Coron? An Honest Answer From People Who Sell Both
The two poster children of Palawan, compared without the brochure gloss — lagoons, wrecks, crowds, seasons, and which one fits which traveller.

We sell both, so we have no horse in this race: El Nido is the postcard, Coron is the adventure. El Nido's Bacuit Bay lagoons are the single most photogenic seascape in the country. Coron trades a little of that polish for wreck dives, hot springs and the unreal blue of Kayangan Lake.
Which one is yours
First trip to Palawan, travelling as a couple, camera always out: El Nido. Divers, snorkellers and anyone allergic to queues: Coron. Families with young children lean El Nido for the calmer island-hopping; barkadas chasing a full day out lean Coron.
Dry season (December to May) flatters both. If you can only go in the shoulder months, Coron's sheltered lakes forgive the weather better than El Nido's open-water lagoons.
