   Through the hills of Slovakia and the Tatras into the plains of Poland to Krakow, arriving in time for dinner.

   A morning tour of Wawel Hill — the Royal Castle and Cathedral — and the Old Town's Main Market Square, Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Church; the afternoon is free.

   To WarsawWarsaw

   A morning at Auschwitz-Birkenau, then Częstochowa and the Jasna Góra Monastery with its revered Black Madonna, before arriving in Warsaw.

   The Royal Route from Castle Square to Łazienki Park and Palace, past the Palace of Science and Culture, the Saxon Gardens and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, then a walking tour of the restored Old Town; an optional Chopin concert in the late afternoon.

   Across the Polish countryside towards the Lithuanian border and Vilnius, arriving in the evening for dinner.

    Into Estonia via the border town of Narva to Tallinn on the Gulf of Finland.

    A walking tour of Tallinn's Upper and Lower Old Town — the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle and the 14th-century Gothic Town Hall; the afternoon is free.
